The town of Alajuela is nearest to the airport, and the neighborhood of Escalante in San Jose, with its seven blocks surrounded by over more than 80 restaurants, pubs, coffee shops and bars, is rapidly becoming a cultural and gastronomical hotspot (just a 30 min drive from the airport and 15 min walk from downtown San Jose).

For domestic flights within Costa Rica. The website is easily navigable in English and Spanish, and agents speak fluent English. Sansa bag weight restrictions are 20-40 lbs., depending on your ticket, with charges for extra weight. Tickets average $145-$175 in the High season (December to April) and $124 in the Green seasons. For children 12 years and under, there is a 25% discount. You can buy a one way or round-trip ticket, we recommend morning flights.

Shuttle service to and from Sierpe, as well as other locations in Costa Rica. $67 per person for San Jose Sierpe route, 2 people minimum. If a shuttle is already going, 1 person can go for the same price of $67. If there is not already a shuttle going, they will open a new one for the one person, but the price would be $134. A private transfer service for the same route would be $415.00 total for up to 6 people and you can depart at any time you want.
